This one is my bike.
In the Tri-Cities, we have to slab it 45 minutes to an hour to the nearest twisties. I have used throttle locks to give my right hand a break, but I don't really like them. Some cruisers and touring bikes have cruise control, but you really don't see them on sport bikes. If anything sport bikes need cruise even more because of the more extreme riding position and the high performance makes inadvertent speeding too easy. I put an aftermarket cruise control on my BMW K1200S. A company in Australia, MC Cruise, makes cruise controls for specific makes and models of motorcycles. Installation was not hard. The vacuum actuator replaces the charcoal canister, which served no useful purpose. Everything except the controls are hidden, so here are a couple of pictures of the installation... ![]() ![]() The controls are backlit so they are easy to see at night. |
